Do you fall into one of these two categories:
You feel really good about the impact you’re making in your business and how you’re helping people, but you’re not making as much money as you want?
You’re making the money that you desire, but you feel like you’re not making an impact, or maybe you even feel guilty about the money you’re earning?
How do we connect impact and money so we can do the work that we love as a heart-centered business owner, and earn the money that we want to earn in order to give us the freedom in our lives that we want to have? How do we connect money and impact?
This Friday, I am offering a masterclass for the heart centered business owner who wants to make more impact and make more money. If that’s you, make sure you register.
When I was climbing the corporate ladder, I always said the money is not important to me. I’m more interested in the growth, the opportunities, the development. It was pretty easy to think that way for a long time, as a single person with not a lot of bills, the money didn’t feel as important to me. But what naturally happened is the money followed.
Fast forward to starting my own business, and all of a sudden, the money seemed to be the only thing I was worried about, because I had bigger bills, I had a family to feed as the primary income earner. There was this pressure that was mounting. Every week and every month, I’m looking at the money and thinking “is there going to be enough?” It was a very restrictive place. Of course I wanted to make an impact, but the money seemed almost paralyzing to me.
It was early on in my business where one of my mentors said to me, “you need to marry the money to the impact.” That resonated with me so much, that the more impact I was making in people’s lives, the more money I would make. The money that I was earning meant that I was making an impact in people’s life. Because my core value is to help people transform their lives, and to be making that impact not only in my own life, but also in your life, what I came to understand is if I’m not making any money, that means I’m not out there making the impact I want to make. When I’m generating the revenue that I want to be generating, it’s a sign and a signal that I’m also making the impact.
I’ve helped countless people really understand and connect those two concepts, that it’s not just about the money. The money represents the impact. The money represents you living your passion and purpose, so when you’re making that money, it also represents that you’re making the impact.
If you’re not generating the money that you want, chances are you’re actually not in the world doing your life’s work.
Also, the more money you make, the more impact you can make. When we’re earning more money, we can take on those projects that are important to us. We can give to the causes that are important to us. When you’re making more money, you can then go out and make a difference in the world in a bigger way.
You don’t have to give it away, and if you do give your services or your products away, you’re then not able to be free enough to really give your gifts, or to do the good you want.
We can think it’s either/or, I’m either a heart-centered business owner making an impact, or I’m greedy and I’m selfish and I shouldn’t be earning this money. And what I would love for you to do is to integrate that those two ideas can co-exist. You can be a heart-centered business owner that’s highly profitable, while making a positive impact in people’s lives and in the world, and the more money you make, the bigger difference that you can make on this planet today.
Let me help you further integrate this idea so you can be a profitable heart centered business owner. Join me on Friday for the Masterclass on being a profitable heart-centered business owner.
Here is to you living a life you love,
