Today I am giving you five ways to feel better in your mind, your body, and your soul.
February can be a tough month with the winter blues, especially this year as we are navigating the pandemic, and so I thought it would be fun to offer you five things that you can do to start to really feel better and stronger in your mind, your body, and your soul.
-
Connect with nature. With the short days and the cold weather, it can become really easy and comfortable to stay inside. But we know that nature has so many healing benefits. I’m a literal tree hugger – I love going for walks and just wrapping my arms around a tree, and as silly as it seems, it feels so good. When was the last time you were in nature?
-
Movement. We know that our bodies are meant to move, and it feels so good once we get moving. Nobody ever said “I regret exercising today”, or “I regret moving my body today.” We feel better when we move. What would it look like just to commit to moving your body five more minutes a day, whether it’s dancing, exercising, stretching, going for a walk? Move your body and watch what that does for your mind, your body, and your soul.
-
Connection. Human beings are meant to connect with each other, and even if you physically can’t be with somebody, there’s still lots of ways that we can connect. Is there a text you can send somebody you haven’t talked to in a long time? Maybe you could FaceTime or Zoom with someone, maybe going for a walk or a coffee with somebody. Make a connection. One way to up level that is by doing something nice for somebody. Sending somebody a compliment, buying somebody’s coffee in the drive-through, delivering homemade cookies. So what’s that human connection that you can make, where you’re really present with somebody? Notice how you feel after you connect – it is powerful for your mind, your body, and your soul.
-
Laughter. When was the last time you had a belly laugh? Laughter truly is one of life’s best medicine. Don’t wait for something funny to happen, but to really connect to laughter. Start by smiling right now, and notice how you feel just by smiling. After we laugh and we really have that good belly laugh, there’s a release that happens that feels so good.
-
Gratitude. What are you grateful for? By looking to all of the blessings and what we have to be grateful for in our life, it raises our vibration. We feel better, and it helps us to really change the trajectory of our days. So what are you grateful for?
These are five things that you can do in a very short period of time to feel better, mind, body, and soul. I have 28 other things in a free program called 28 Day Mindset Challenge, and so if you’re interested in investing just five minutes a day throughout February to help you feel better, so that you do better and so that you really create new results, go ahead and sign up for that. We’ll have some fun over the next 28 days together.
So which one of these are you going to implement today? Make a commitment. And here’s to you bringing a little more joy into your life today.
